Featherweights Afloat Alaska Cruise 2021

Join Fellow Featherweight Enthusiasts May 7th - May 16th, 2021 along with The Featherweight Shop for a 9-night Alaska Cruise!

We will have a one day class for Featherweight Maintenance, as well as several days and evenings for you to relax and sew with your Featherweight on board the Celebrity Eclipse.  You will see the towns of Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan as well as the Hubbard Glacier and Icy Strait Point. This particular cruise line and the itinerary was chosen so that you would be pampered with luxury accommodations with the combination of two days "at sea" for memorable quilting and Featherweight experience! The ship will depart from Vancouver, BC on May 7th, 2021 and will dock in Vancouver, BC on May, 16th 2021.  

The price for this ultimate "Featherweights Afloat" Alaska Cruise Package starts at $2995 for each Featherweight Quilter / Workshop Attendee (cabin rates are based on double occupancy.)  For a non-quilter / accompanying roommate (e.g. spouse, traveling friend, etc) the price will be discounted by $500.

If you do not have a Featherweight, or if you do not wish to transport one, the Featherweight shop will provide one for you to use for $125.

    Not Included:

    Travel Expenses to and from Vancouver, Shore Excursions, Spa Treatments, Upgraded Meals, Onboard Gratuities for Stateroom Attendants /  Housekeeping Staff / Dining Services, Extracurricular Activities and Products Sold Onboard the Cruiseship

    PLEASE NOTE:  Due to limited space on the cruise, non-quilters (e.g. accompanying cruise roommates) will not be able to attend the Maintenance Workshop or group sewing times.  When registering far below, please select your traveler type.

     

    PAYMENT DETAILS

    There will be three types of staterooms available for this cruise:

    Oceanview* Stateroom = $2895
    Veranda 2A* Stateroom = $3095
    Aqua Class A1* Stateroom = $3395

    Prices are per person based on double occupancy.

    *Oceanview Staterooms:  Located on Deck 3 and feature expansive views of the ocean right from your window.

    *Veranda 2A Stateroom:  Located on Deck 7 in the midship area.  Due to their more central location, these staterooms are typically more desirable. 

    *Aqua Class A1:  A select few of these rooms are located on Deck 11. Enjoy luxurious spa elements infused into the stateroom experience.  Savor unique cuisine with priority seating at Blu Restaurant, and escape to the Relaxation Room and Persian Garden for stunning sea views. Relax with AquaSpa treatments arranged by your personal spa concierge and feel rejuvenated with wellness classes such as meditation and yoga.

    Payment Schedule for Quilter / Workshop Attendee:

    Initial Deposit at Time of Registration = 30%

    Second Payment on August 1st, 2020 = 35%


    (If registering after August 1st, the second payment will be due one month after registration)

    Final Payment on February 1st, 2021 = 35%

     
    Cancellation Schedule and Fees:
    At time of registration = $250 is non-refundable
    August 2nd, 2019 = a total of 30% will be non-refundable
    January 1st, 2020 = a total of 65% will be non-refundable
    February, 15th 2020 = total price 100% will be non-refundable 

     

    Payment Schedule for NON-Quilter 
    (Accompanying Roommate Only):

    Initial Deposit = 30%

    Second Payment on August 1st, 2020 = 35%

    (If registering after August 1st, the second payment will be due one month after registration)

    Final Payment on February 1st, 2021 = 35%

    The price for a Non-Quilter is $500 less than the price for a Quilter.

    At time of registration = $250 is non-refundable
    August 2nd, 2019 = a total of 30% will be non-refundable
    January 1st, 2020 = a total of 65% will be non-refundable

    Below is a list of the supplies and items that you will need to bring to the maintenance workshop and for sewing the duration of the cruise.

    Supplies for Quilter to Bring for Maintenance Workshop & Cruise Sewing:

    1. Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine (in working order)
    2. Small Towel 
      (to set your machine on while servicing at the Maintenance Workshop)
    3. Thread
    4. Bobbins
    5. Rulers
    6. Fabric or your own prepared project for sewing

    *As instructed by the cruise line, DO NOT bring the following items (but continue reading below for how these needful sewing items will be provided):

    1. Scissor Thread Snips
    2. Rotary Cutters**
    3. Irons
    4. Oil
    5. Kerosene
    6. Motor Lubricant and Grease
    7. Needles
    8. Pins
    9. Screwdrivers

    *The nine items in the list directly above will be provided by the Featherweight Shop for use in the classroom.  These items required pre-approval from the TSA and Celebrity Cruise Lines and will be put on the ship prior to your arrival.  Any of these items brought personally will not be allowed through security and will be confiscated by the TSA.  

    ** The Featherweight Shop will also bring cutting mats for sewing use.
