This 1941, Blackside Singer Featherweight 221 is absolutely stunning in Tiffany blue with black decals! Completely restored inside and out - this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew (or display) right out of the case. During WWII, there was a moratorium on chromium; consequently, some of the Featherweight parts like the handhweel and stitch length indicator received black paint instead of the chrome finish and other parts like the faceplate and presser bar lifter received a black-oxide finish. A machine with all four of these components is referred to as a Blackside Featherweight.

Additional Quilting Attachments can be purchased, and if you need any Fashion Aids for apparel or ornamental sewing (e.g., Buttonholer, Blind Stitcher, etc...), we will prepare samples for those as well should you decide to purchase them separately.
The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original black-oxide scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the attachments.
