What Our Customers Say...

Dear Featherweight Shop,

I received my order today, the Good Morning Mugs Vintage Happy quilt kit. I was so impressed by the careful, even loving way that the box was wrapped and packaged that I had to tell you how special it was!! I have never seen a better packaged product in all of my 69 years and some of those years were working at the post office. I know what kinds of things can happen to packages!

You went above and beyond and I am just so happy and impressed. I love your site and products and one day I know I will find a Featherweight to join my modern machines. I work part time at the local historical museum and my interest in heirloom sewing and antique sewing machines is growing all the time.

Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,

Mary T. of Michigan

Dear Featherweight Shop,

I can't thank you enough. I'm so lucky to have found your website and Facebook page....what a wonderful business and group of people. I will check it out all online. I purchased my FW just about a month ago and still looking. I just love these little machines as much as I love sewing and playing with fabric. It is so amazing to realize with a little fabric and thread and the good Lord above, one can create something that gives the maker and the recipient so much joy.

Warmest Regards,
Carrol

P.S. Really hope to attend a workshop on person one day.

Dear Featherweight Shop,

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for carrying quality bobbins.  I have a 221 and a 301 (among other vintage Singers) and lately the blister-pack bobbins have been failing me miserably.  Of the last four packages of 3 I've purchased, I've been able to use three bobbins in total - the last package I purchased were all failures (they're not straight, and the center is conical so they only go on the bobbin winder one way and not the entire way).  One of them was dented and scratched - it looked like I had been sucked up with the vacuum a few times, and it was right out of the package!

When I opened the tube of 15 bobbins from you that arrived yesterday, it was instant relief.  They fit perfectly and are mirror-shiny - just like a new bobbin should be.  It might sound silly but it was a total de-stress.  And they got here really, really fast - from Idaho to Washington to Massachusetts to Connecticut in about three days!  For free!  Wow!

So thank you.  You've really made my day.  (And I can sew again!)

Dear Featherweight Shop,

This note is to thank you for the featherweight class just held in Olympia, Washington.  Everything about this class was just right.  The location was great because we didn't have to deal with downtown Seattle and parking.  It was easy to find.  The size of the room was good and not crowded.  The lighting, temperature, sound, and visuals were all just perfect.  Then the ratio of help to students was the best, 4 people to help 18 students!  Unheard of these days.  I have to say in all the various kinds of classes I have taken I have never heard anyone start the day by saying, "we want everyone to leave here with their questions answered".  The pace of the class and the information was just right as well.

I would like to say thank you for the kindness that is very apparent in all the interactions with students as well as one another.  Your offer to answer questions in class and on the phone make that apparent as well.  Your children are bright, talented and polite.  Thank you for sharing your family, your experiences and your time.

Susan W.

Dear Henry Family,

It was a pleasure to meet all of you in person at the workshop in Beaverton, on May 14th (2018).  I was so very thankful for the opportunity to attend and even more surprised and delighted when Christian informed me you would be bringing my new 222K to the training!  To have the machine delivered early, in person at the training, was so kind and generous, and a treat I will never forget.

Carmon, your training is beyond valuable.  I learned so much and your calm, delivery was clear, concise and took away any fears I might have properly maintaining a 222K.

Christian, you are so talented!  I was not only very impressed with your historical presentation, but your technical knowledge and expertise were fantastic!

Ruthie, you are so poised and talented as well... I know you will be as successful with clothing construction as you are with quilting.  The bow ties from your church friends were just the beginning.  I have no doubt you will develop your own designs sooner than later!

April, your "sweet heart" quilt was a true work of art, I so admire you... and I know how much concentration and detail goes into making the back as spectacular as the front with straight seams galore!

The Henry family is an outstanding example of working together as a team, professionally but more so, ethically, respectfully with warmth and kindness.  All rare qualities in today's hurried world of business.

Please know the workshop was excellent and how your entire family makes a positive difference in the lives of your customers!  Please accept my most sincere thanks and admiration.
Diane B.

Hi Carmon, April, Christian and Ruthie,

It was a pleasure to meet all of you and even more of a pleasure to attend your Featherweight Maintenance Workshop in Olympia!  I learned so much and appreciated your hands-on approach with taking apart the machine to clean, oil and inspect all moving parts.  It was scary at first to unscrew things, but with your guidance and encouragement, it made things less daunting, and kind of fun!  Thank you for lunch, too, and for having things on hand to buy while there!

Glad you got to visit Seattle; those sweet peas were lovely!  The Featherweight is a beautiful sewing machine and I feel very confident that I'll take good care of mine.

Again, thanks for everything!

Sincerely,
Willow B. :)

Hi C & A,

Just a note to let you both know that the [White] FW arrived here a bit ago all safe and sound! My UPS driver made a special trip to get it over here early (usually I'm his last stop of the day). Carmon, you did such an AMAZING job packing! You get my highest accolades for doing a great job! I even think Graham would have been impressed! :)

I haven't had a chance yet to sew something, but she looks FABULOUS for her age!

I'm really thrilled with the FW and love how she looks. She now has a great new home! Again, thanks so much for the lovingly packed box and for offering the machine to buy!!

Have a great week-end!
Jennifer from Arizona

Hi April and Carmon,

The wrinkle featherweight came yesterday afternoon.  It is such a beautiful machine.  And hard to believe it's over 70 years old.  Thank you for taking care in preparing it for shipping.  And thanks for the opportunity to acquire this machine.  I look forward to sewing with it.

Thanks again.  Looking forward to seeing the other amazing machines you have for sale.

Susan from Utah

Carmon & April,

I am so thrilled and happy!!!!!!!!! I wish I didn't have to work because after receiving my order from you and seeing the condition of the buttonholer and zigzagger, I cannot wait to get home and start sewing.

I must say I am extremely pleased with (1) the condition of the items, (2) that they are in their original boxes, (3) they both have the manuals with them and (4) the speed with which my order was filled as well as the prices. I will definitely be ordering from you again and recommending you to everyone I know who sews. I also loved the little samples that you included. How classy are you!

Thank you thank you.
Barbara from New York

Dear Carmon & April,

I received my new Featherweight today! It is just so gorgeous!

Opening the package was better than Christmas. Your attention to detail in packaging and beautiful wrapping and lovely samples set a challenging precedent to follow in my stitching, but everything about your product and your attentiveness to the customer (me) makes it more that a delight to purchase from you. You certainly go that extra mile.

With this little machine I have a lot to live up to. I have not sewn in years, but I cannot wait to get back to it.

Thank you for everything--more than delighted.

Your friend in stitchery,
Charla
