This is the bobbin case tension adjustment screw as indicated by the arrow and is the very small screw that you use to adjust the tension on the spring. Be sure to watch our video tutorial for how to properly adjust your bobbin case and upper tension.

I have a new to me a 222K machine and I unfortunately discovered the reproduction bobbin casing was missing its tension ****. I was pleasantly shocked I could buy a vintage original from you wonderful folks! And it works great.... I have been off and sewing away! Thank YOU!

With this screw I was able to repair my bobbin case giving me an extra one for the future.
