If there is oil residue on your finger after depressing it into the old pad, then it is time for a new Felt Drip Pad!
Simply remove the old one after removing the metal tray on the bottom of your machine, peel the paper off the new pad and adhere it in place. (You may need to clean the excess oil and old pad adhesives from the tray before applying the new pad.)

Awesome replacement drip pad
Watched many wonderful Featherweight Shop tutorials and decided to give my featherweight full spa day. The drip pad seemed to be the original (1947) one, so I decided to change it. The replacement drip pad fit perfectly and was very easy to install.
