You can do a quick finger press twice over for the first inch or so at the beginning of the seam. Then stitched normally for about 4 or 5 stitches and lift the presser foot. Back up the fabric and insert the fold into the curve of the foot and proceed forward. Be sure to hold the fabric like you see in the photos above. You should then have a nicely folded hem all stitched in place. This will work along a bias curve as well as the straight of grain.
LOW SHANK: fits the Singer Featherweight 221, 222K and all low, vertical shank Sewing Machines (i.e. 15, 27, 28, 66, 99, 185, 127, 128, 192, 201, 206, 237, 306, 319, 320, 328, as well as many other brands besides Singer)

Item arrived on time, very well packaged. Exceptional customer service. I tried a few other brands with adapters, but none fit my Featherweight like this one.

Does not work on my machine
I'm sorry to say that this hemmer foot does not work on my 1974 Featherweight 221, despite assurances that it would. I can't decide whether it's worth the effort and postage to return it, but I'm annoyed because I did ask before purchasing it. In short, don't by this if you have an old Featherweight.

Easy peasy!
I bought the narrow rolled hem foot to alter a mother of the bride dress. There were 2 layers of georgette and 2 of taffeta. I made 3mm hems on all four layers.
