On October 3, 1933, Singer commissioned the first batch of 10,000 model 221 sewing machines, marketing them as the Singer Featherweight. Today, the Singer Featherweight is cherished from one generation to the next and is still one of the most sought after sewing machines. Its beautiful straight stitch is unsurpassed - perfect for piecing quilts, heirloom sewing, constructing everyday clothing, or even to have for the occasional mend. This T-shirt represents the beginnings of our beloved portable Singer and will be a great conversation starter to tell the world why we love sewing on the Singer Featherweight so much!
