DESCRIPTION

All pieces are ready to sew together!  This exclusive Mini Dresden Spool Pin Kit features various hand-selected 1930's reproduction and vintage-inspired precut diecut fabrics to make a darling "scrappy happy" Dresden plate to adorn the top of your Singer Featherweight or vintage Singer Sewing Machine!  Not only is it decorative, but it serves a purpose, too...  The soft fabric of the mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate prevents the thread spool from touching and scratching the machine's surface as the spool spins round and round.

EXCLUSIVE PRE-CUT DRESDEN SPOOL PIN KIT INCLUDES:

  • Pre-cut and diecut fabric pieces - hand-selected from various reproduction 1930's and vintage-inspired fabrics and prints.  All pieces are ready to sew together!  Each kit is unique, specially curated by our staff from various fabrics we carry - Moda, Riley Blake, Penny Rose, Lecien, Yuwa, Robert Kaufman, and more!  No two kits are alike, but all of them will be representative of reproduction 1930's and vintage-inspired fabrics.

  • All pieces are pre-cut and diecut for you to make 1 Mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate.

  • A professionally printed, full-color pattern to walk you through construction step-by-step.

  • FREE shipping in the USA.

Eyelet cam or Buttonholer Attachment are not included.  Click here for the video tutorial for how to make an eyelet hole using a vintage Singer Buttonholer Attachment on your Featherweight 221 or 222.

If you do not have a Buttonholer or eyelet cam to fit your Featherweight, or if you do not have a built-in eyelet function in your newer, modern machines that you can use, then there are many creative options for your center hole creation.  Otherwise, follow the image links above for a tutorial and ordering information.

Note:  The backside of the Mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate is purposely left unfinished because of it's tiny size.  This also accommodates the center hole to be made more easily, and the softness of just the Dresden pieces allows it to conform and lay more flush with the spool pin plate... And, it will always be seen right side up.  We've had our plates on our machines for years and they stay looking beautiful. However, feel free to be creative if you wish to add a backing.  We've seen some customers use felt, leather, other fabric, etc... Just remember to accommodate the center hole for the spool pin!  Have fun!
