Eyelet Cam for the Singer Buttonholer (Vintage Original)

The vintage Singer eyelet template is very scarce to find anymore!  It was not originally included with the Singer Buttonholer Attachment, but would have been ordered as a specialty sewing item from the old, original Singer Sewing Centers (as needed for making belt holes or decorative stitches).

The eyelet template or cam is designed to fit the vintage Singer Buttonholer Attachment (sold separately).  Scroll through the photos above and watch the video tutorials below to see how, with the aid of this little template, you can make eyelet holes using your own Singer Buttonholer.  This tool is perfect for making a belt, teeny-tiny heirloom infant buttons, or anyplace you want to create a bound hole in your fabric.  You may enjoy using this template to make the center hole on the Mini Dresden Spool Pin Plate, free pattern available here.

Beautiful, perfect and easy! 'Sew' easy in fact, it's practically hands-free! This buttonholer is still preferred by long-time sewists, even over the fancy, expensive machines with built-in buttonhole features. The engineering technology of yesterday still is revolutionary, 70+ years later.
