Sweep Away Lint, Clear Out Old Grease

All sewing produces lint, so a good lint brush close at hand is a must! This double-ended style earns its spot in your kit: one end sweeps lint from the feed dogs and bobbin area, while the other reaches deep into the gears to clear away old grease build-up.

One Important Reminder

When you remove your Featherweight's throat plate to clean out the lint, make sure you replace it with the positioning finger on the bobbin case base in the correct place. The positioning finger needs to sit between the disks on the underside of the throat plate—A2 needs to be in the B2 slot, as shown in the illustration below.
