No response to voice mail left.regarding wire size
One of the two wire sets was thicker and less pliable than the other making it harder to make a uniform knot. When leaving a voice mail explaining the situation and no one got back to me

Rewiring the foot pedal
I accidentally put this review under another product I purchased and like. It should be as follows: Rewiring a vintage featherweight foot pedal
After 4 tries, I concluded that the wires provided are too big in gauge to connect 2 to one post in the connector. After reading somewhere else, other customers were having the same problem. A solution offered by Featherweight was to trim half of the wires from each of the two and twist them together. I will try it today and it should work, but this problem should have been disclosed in the tutorial.

Modern wiring and a more sturdy outlet plug
The kit did enable me to successfully re-wire my machine and throw out the outlet plug with loose prongs on my machine.
The steps to rewiring were well laid out and shown in the video, but getting everything to fit just right into the bakelite plug took me probably a dozen attempts at looping the stripped wiring around the terminals, tying/untying the plug wires, and trying to get both halves of the plug to fit together without forcing it. It's a lot of balancing to be sure you strip enough insulation so that no insulation needs to fit into one of the three channels in the plug, but not so much insulation that wires could cross or short-circuit. Just know that figuring this out does take a lot of trial and error and could be frustrating to some.
The thickness of the insulation on the wires for the outlet plug are different than the wires for the foot controller, and I wish there was an option for a longer plug cord.

A struggle to rewire.
Although there is a video, it was a struggle! My cord is several inches longer due to the difficulty in doing the knot. Can not understand why there are two different thicknesses in cord. If they were both the same insulation thickness of the thinner cord, I don't believe it would be as difficult. The cord that was sent to go into the electrical outlet was much easier to work with.
