The day when the superior quality Sew Steady Table brand would produce a beautiful classic solid black table to match our beloved Singer Featherweights! We especially like the scrolled bud decal they added as a delicate touch, reminiscent of the classic Singer Featherweight decals! The table finish is so shiny, you can see the beautiful reflection of the quilt hanging on the wall.
Superior quality acrylic, 17" x 22 1/2" BLACK CLASSIC Sew Steady Table extends the sewing surface area of your Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine. Table is perfectly sized and now has the exclusive finger notch for easy machine bed and bobbin case access! Having a larger surface area helps keep the quilt you are piecing or the project you are sewing more level with the needle so that it doesn't pull or bunch up unnecessarily - an ideal extension to your Featherweight sewing machine bed.
True to the quality of Sew Steady, the front edge is polished smooth and rounded for your comfort. It also has a permanent ruler along the front, featuring both metric and inches.
This Featherweight Table will fit either a Featherweight 221 or 222 model as original from the factory. (The reason we say "original" is because many quilters today have newly painted Featherweight machines in all sorts of colors. So please take into account whether it was originally black, white or tan when ordering your table.)
TABLE MODEL OPTIONS:
FW 221 = fits all original black & tan Featherweight 221 models
FW 222 = fits original black with FULL BED* in place(with sew steady table legs fully extended). However, if you wish to have more height variability for your 222, then additional table legs are available for purchase on request as a custom order. *Table is NOT available as a cutout for the free-arm, only the full bed in position on the 222.
Polish Kit (included with Table): Designed specifically for Sew Steady Portable Tables & Inserts. The Polish creates an ultra slick surface which is great for heavy fabrics and free motion quilting on Sew Steady Tables or Cabinet Inserts. The kit includes: tub of polish paste, applicator sponge and cotton pouch/polish mitt.

This is a darling, functional sewing table and I love the vintage black color and gold scrolling. That said, I bought a similar clear table for my larger sewing machine and over years of use it now sports many "scratches and dings." If I had thought about this beforehand, I might have opted for the clear Featherweight Sew Steady Table. I take good care of my equipment and will use the manufacturer's polish but don't foresee any way to keep that high gloss black finish pristine. I don't want to 'baby' this table in an attempt to avoid scratches so anticipate it will show its age as time goes on.

Feather Weight Table
I absolutely Love my table. It's so BIG and shiny and it compliments my machine in so many ways. My husband could not believe how big the table is. I just bought a Bernadette from Bernina. Had I known about this beauty of a machine the 1938 Feather Weight Singer, I never would have bought the Bernadette, I just fell in love with. I have been trying to get all the accessories for this machine so I can go to retreats for quilting and show it off, that's how proud of it I am. The one retreat I'm going to in August is the one I bought the Bernadette from so I will be guessing they will be surprised for them to see me with the feather weight machine.

This table extension is perfect for expanding your working area. You are able to adjust it so it is level to your machine. For anyone quilting, you are able to create so much more area for a larger amount of fabric. Plus, it is beautiful! Absolutely a great addition to your Featherweight sewing life!!
