Singer Chicago Badged Featherweight 221 with a serial number of AD543*** indicates the very first Featherweight commission date of October 3, 1933. Machine actually debuted, however, at the Chicago World's Fair in 1934. Machine is given a grade 7 and was truly a diamond in the ruff when it was discovered quite by accident earlier this year. This machine is being sold on consignment.

Featherweight historians, JJ & Leo, from The Featherweight 221 Factory, have only logged 10 Chicago badged Featherweights in all their years of keeping records. It is a wild guess as to how many were actually made and sold at the Chicago World's Fair, but it was definitely a sewing machine of progress for the theme of the exposition, "A Century of Progress".
Ready to sew right out of the box: cleaned, polished, oiled, serviced and tested. A stitch sample is included for your assurance of being ready to sew. Included with Machine:
Original Type I Case, Original Manual, Original Foot Controller (with cord coming out the right side of the controller), Screwdrivers and Box of Attachments are included: Ruffler, Adjustable Hemmer, Edge Stitcher, Binder, Narrow Hemmer, and Shirrer
