Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine, WHITE EV781***

Aren't these little White Featherweight 221 machines so dainty and pretty?.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - rest assured, this White Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  This machine is fitted with an original 110v motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.  (Technically and originally named by Singer, the color of this machine is called "Pale Turquoise", however it is more commonly known as the Celery or White colored Featherweight.  But, as you can tell from the lighting, the color changes depending upon its surroundings.)

The distinguishing blue case, manual and attachments box identify this machine as one that would have been sold in Europe or the UK.  These machines are much harder to come by, and the cases are very difficult to find in such good condition.

Some of the dating for White Featherweights has become obscure due to incomplete records, but it is known that the 'EV7' serial number white Featherweights are among the first produced, and this one is likely one of the first 5,000 White Featherweights produced.  You can view some of the records here.  Be sure to click on any image above to view the machine for closer detail.  Machine is in stunning condition and recieves a grade 8.  There are just minor scuffs and a few pin scratches.
