Aren't these little White Featherweight 221 machines so dainty and pretty?. Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - rest assured, this White Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. Powerful original 110v motor with a quiet, smooth stitch. (Technically and originally named by Singer, the color of this machine is called "Pale Turquoise", however it is more commonly known as the Celery or White colored Featherweight. But, as you can tell from the lighting, the color changes depending upon its surroundings.)
EY848*** indicates an original production commission date of around 1969-1970 and is given a Grade 8. Some of the dating for White Featherweights has become obscure due to incomplete records. You can view some of the records here. Be sure to click on any image above to view the machine for closer detail. Machine is in beautiful condition with minimal wear. Upon our acquisition, it appeared that a couple tiny areas were very lightly touched up - on the right side on the edge and sort of under the spool pin cover plate and on the back of the motor. Also, the handwheel appears that the paint just barely skimmed the inner rim edge when originally painted at the factory. The case has a lilac-colored hounds tooth interior with two-tone blue exterior. This case style is more often found in the United Kingdom than the USA.
