Needle insertion may vary with machine model depending on the machine requirement for the flat side of the needle. Be sure to turn the tool as needed for correct needle insertion. (i.e. The flat side of the needle faces LEFT on a Singer Featherweight, but on newer machine models the flat side of the needle usually faces towards the back.)

Cool tool
So at first, this tool is a little daunting to use. Watch the video and it becomes easier. I bought two; one for my friend and one for me. I am using it for my other machine where the thread is inserted front to back since that is the one I have the most trouble with.

Was very skeptical but it works!
I was very skeptical about whether this would work. I was even advised that needle threaders are a gimmick, a waste of money and don’t work. After trying to thread my machine unsuccessfully for 25 minutes with failing eyesight I thought why not give it a try. Surprisingly, it worked on the first try! 30 seconds! It was easy and I’m amazed.

Excellent tool. I can't see small items as well and my depth perception makes
aligning the thread with the needle hole tougher. This tool fixes all of these issues.
