These are the discs in the tension unit that the upper thread goes through. These discs need to be free of oil, lint, and dust, so that there is no obstruction in the thread path, or variation in tension. They come in a set of 2. Look under the video tab if you need to know how to put the tension unit together, or if you are unsure about what piece you need.
