Thread Post for Vintage Singer Sewing Machines
Sew Smoothly with Modern Thread on Your Vintage Singer
Your Singer was born in an era when thread came on short, upright spools, engineered to fit the machine perfectly. But thread has come a long way since 1933—today's cross-wound spools are wider, taller, and wound in a way your machine could never have imagined. The result? Twisting, resisting, and thread that fights you all the way from spool to needle.
The Thread Post is the quiet bridge between then and now. This small but ingenious adapter converts your machine's vertical spool pin into a horizontal thread delivery system, letting modern cross-wound thread unwind smoothly—so your thread flows evenly from the first stitch to the last, and you spend less time fussing and more time honing your craft, whether you're just beginning or have decades of quilting behind you.
Included caps fit spools with small or large center holes—your machine's vintage charm, meet modern thread.
Does It Fit?
The Thread Post fits perfectly atop the Singer Featherweight 221 and 222, plus any vintage Singer with a vertical spool pin—including models 15, 66, 99, 127, 128, 185, 192 Spartan, 201, 237, 327, 328, 401, 500, and 503. (Use the far right pin on your Slant-O-Matic & Rocketeer models.)
