New, reproduction Textured Chrome Graduated Needle / Throat Stitch Plate for the Singer Featherweight 221. This plate does not come with the positioning plate block or brackets /screws needed for installation, they can be purchased separately.
New, reproduction Textured Non-Reflective Chrome Graduated Needle / Throat Stitch Plate for the Singer Featherweight 221.
This plate does not come with the positioning plate block or brackets /screws needed for installation, but can be purchased by clicking the underlined links.
Is your throat plate plain with no marking lines? Are you using tape or other make-shift guide? Would you like to have something accurately marked? We recommend the reproduction graduated needle / throat plate. It is marked 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" for quick seam allowance reference. Using your same throat plate screws, it will screw down snugly and fit perfectly on most* Featherweights.
{Reproduction plates are NOT marked on the bottom, whereas originals are marked with SIMANCO and a part number.}
These plates are manufactured in Italy exclusively for the Featherweight Shop. The manufacturing tolerances are superior to alternative reproduction Featherweight throat plates.
*Do keep in mind that reproduction plates have a tendency to sit 1/32" higher than the bed on some machines. As you can see this is a nominal difference, but something to be aware of. That being said, occasionally on some of the older Featherweights, there was a very slight difference in the factory mold when machines were made that causes the bed to not have enough clearance when raised (once the reproduction graduated throat plate is screwed down). The only way to test for this is with trial and error and in-person. We actually prefer to sell these in person at our workshops or other events so that we can test it on your machine first. However, if you're willing to order and test it out yourself, knowing all of this ahead of time (and that you will have to pay postage to return it), then you are welcome to return for a refund or exchange within 30 days per our return policy here.
IMPORTANT -- When the throat plate is removed for cleaning the stitch-forming mechanism, etc., make certain, when replacing the throat plate, that the position finger (A2 in figure image above) of the bobbin case base enters the notch (B2) of the position plate attached to the underside of the throat plate.

Great product. Looks gorgeous on my little machine! So glad that you consider Alaska part of the US too! Just about everybody else charges extra shipping because they don’t think we’re part of the United States!
