A Look at a Featherweight Shop Christmas Past
by Ashley Fritsche

As this year comes to a close, it is the perfect time to reminisce on Christmas past! It can bring a few feelings of melancholy to look back on these sweet photos of Ruthie and Christian as little children full of Christmas anticipation. If only there could be one more squeeze of those little arms, but we are grateful to God for the incredible young adults they have become. Each Christmas passing brings more memories and traditions into the home and a moment of thankfulness for how the family has grown. Follow along with a trip down memory lane...

A visit to Carmon's folks ~ 2005

Christian & Ruthie ~ ages 6 and nearly 2

Each year April would make sugar cookies with the kids and their cousins.

A favorite photo of Christian and Ruthie from this time period. Ruthie still enjoys making and decorating and Christian still loves eating Christmas sugar cookies!

"Sweetpea" Ruthie with her "baby-sized" cookie cutters shaped just like vintage originals.

Christian rolling out dough.

Our first year in Kooskia ~ Christmas 2015

The second Christmas with Christian's bride, Joy! ~ 2021

The Henry home in Kooskia with Christmas lights (gingerbread-esque!)

Left: Bell (August 24 2010 ~ October 13, 2022) sweetly snuggled up in a Christmas quilt, her favorite spot!
Right: Ruthie decorating the Christmas tree looking as adorable as ever!

The Featherweight Shop peaking out behind snow-capped hills.

Each year, Ruthie decorates a gingerbread house!

With The Featherweight's Shop love of vintage memorabilia...

...vntage Christmas postcards are still collected to decorate the house!

In 2021, "the kids" requested a new set of stockings. April sewed each of these, incorporating fabric to match each person's sweet personality!

Left: Stockings (new!) hung by the chimney with care!
Right: Festive mistletoe margaritas to celebrate with family and friends (and boy oh boy were they tasty!)

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
(From left to right: Joy, Christian, Carmon, April, Ruthie)
