SHOP TALK: DIY Ribbon Holder Tutorial
Welcome back to Shop Talk here at The Featherweight Shop! We love our local chit chat with staff, gathering around the dinette table so-to-speak (because that is what we have!) and sharing with one another. In these segments, we exchange patterns, recipes, organizational ideas, history quips, gardening tips, crafty projects, and smiles about learning an old-fashioned way of doing things. Shop Talk is the fun tidbits of news!
We sure have been on an spring cleaning kick here at the Featherweight Shop lately! It has been so nice to be organizing the row of ric rac at work, as well as at home! One of the many things that the ladies here at work have in common, is a love for ribbon and ric rac! We found this adorable tutorial on a DIY Ribbon Holder, and figured we must share with fellow ric rac lovers as well!
Tutorial from The Cottage Mama
Supplies Needed:
1 piece square corner trim
1 dowel rod cut 13" long
1 wooden knob
Craft paint
Drill
Wood glue
Directions:
1. Drill hole in the center of the square trim that is the same size as the dowel rod. If you can make it the slightest bit smaller then you can avoid having to glue it in place! If the dowel seems loose, add some wood glue and allow it to dry.

2. Drill a hole in the bottom of the wooden knob. Make sure you don't go through the entire knob, just about 3/4 of the way through.
3. Fit the knob onto the top of the dowel rod and secure into place.

4. Paint the pieces of the holder with craft paint.
5. Allow all of your pieces to dry.
