SHOP TALK: Tammy's Tuna Pasta Salad

fun

Welcome back to Shop Talk here at The Featherweight Shop! We love our local chit chat with staff, gathering around the dinette table so-to-speak (because that is what we have!) and sharing with one another. In these segments, we exchange patterns, recipes, organizational ideas, history quips, gardening tips, crafty projects, and smiles about learning an old-fashioned way of doing things. Shop Talk is the fun tidbits of news!

Tammy's Tuna Pasta Salad is just as well loved as she is here at The Featherweight Shop! This tasty bite was taught to Tammy when she was a little girl using a card out of her mother’s recipe box in the photo.

Tammy devoted her life to raising a family and homeschooling all four of her children from Kindergarten through Senior graduation. Now that the children are grown, she has joined the Featherweight team!

Tammy and her darling mother, Laura.

 Ingredients:

1 16 oz. bag seashell pasta
1 12 oz. bag frozen peas
1 12 oz. can of Tuna (in water)
1-1 ½ Cup Mayonnaise
½-1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
Salt & Pepper

Directions:

Bring water to boil and cook pasta. Pour frozen peas into large colander.

While pasta is cooking, mix tuna, mayonnaise, and onion powder together in a large mixing bowl.

When pasta is cooked, pour pasta and hot water over the peas in colander (to blanch the peas.)

Rinse with cold water. Let pasta and peas drain.

Add to tuna mixture and blend well.

Season with salt & pepper. I like to add Molly’s Mills ‘Idahoan’ Garlic Seasonings to add an extra zing!

Enjoy your Tammy's Tuna Pasta Salad!
