What's new in The Featherweight Shop Vintage Collection - January 2025

Here at the Featherweight Shop, we have quite the collection of vintage Singer items. Due to our remote location, very few customers have the opportunity to see the many rare Singer items we have procured in our personal collection.

This series of blog posts brings our collection out for all to see the new items we receive. Some of these items may be famous and recognizable, but there may be other items that very few individuals have ever seen or heard of before. For the month of January 2025, here are some of our recent finds for your viewing pleasure:

This rare and beautiful one-month calendar advertised for a specific Singer shop/salesman.

This darling Singer thimble remains on its original card. It is situated this way for the potential buyer to test the size on their finger.

This rare bookmark depicts the beloved Queen Victoria as her likeness was stitched by a Singer sewing machine.

This original Zippo lighter features Singer's Red 'S' logo, and it is in stunning condition - box and all!

From France, this sturdy advertisement cutout utilizes a foldable stand on the back, so it displays prominently.

The Singer Centennial matchbooks are treasured finds, and this one comes in the uncommon blue color. Click here to see if we have any original Singer matchbooks for sale.

One incredibly rare and intriguing find for this month, is a pin from the Singer Apprentices Association for the Singer factory in Clydebank. It features the towering Singer clock at the factory. We knew of the Singer Veteran Employee Assocation at Clydebank, but the Apprentices Association was unfamiliar to us prior to discovering this pin.

This month's final treasure is a gorgeous Featherweight 221K, originally sold in France. It features the desirable 'Fabrique en Grande Bretagne' decal on the back.
