What's New in The Featherweight Shop Vintage Collection - December 2023
Here at the Featherweight Shop we have quite the collection of vintage Singer items. Due to our remote location, very few customers have had the opportunity to see the many rare Singer items we have. This series of blog posts brings our collection out for all to see what new items we get in. Some of these items may be famous and recognizable, but we are sure there are others that very few have ever seen or heard of. For the month of March 2021, here are some of our recent finds:
A sleek, medium-sized (16" x 22") original Italian sign makes a fabulous addition to our sign collection.
This rare sign in Bulgarian is impressive as well. It appears to be from the same time period as the Italian one because the lady they used looks the same on both.
Filled with old addresses and notes, this handy pocketbook is fascinating. A book like this would probably have been something Singer would have given free as a souvenir, maybe to an employee.
We have many original Singer wrenches here in the shop, but this one is unique with one end being offset.
We were pleased to add this little pin to our collection. It would have been given to one of Singer's employees in Italy when they worked there for 50 years!
This cute little container of grease is a fun and unique piece to have in the collection.
Each and every sewing model that Singer was making at the time it was printed is shown in this remarkable book. Each machine gets two pages, so the book is filled with quite a variety of machines.
Above is a charming Singer pocket mirror with the logo in Spanish.
There are so many fun vintage Singer items here at the shop, and we are very excited to share our new finds with the Featherweight community. Stay tuned for next month!
