October 7th, 2018 is the final day to register! 

Join fellow Featherweight enthusiasts February 8th-18th, 2019 for a 10-day Caribbean Cruise with the Featherweight Shop!!!  We will have a one-day Novice Featherweight Maintenance Workshop, as well as several days and evenings for you to relax and sew with your Featherweight on board the Celebrity Reflection.  You will see the islands of Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten on our journey.  This particular cruise line and the itinerary was chosen so that you would be pampered with luxury accommodations with the combination of several days at sea for a memorable quilting and Featherweight experience! 


The ship will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 8th, 2019 and we will return on February 18th, 2019.  

The price for this ultimate Featherweights Afloat Caribbean Cruise Package is $2795* for each Featherweight Quilter or Workshop Attendee (based on double occupancy) and $2295* for a non-quilter / accompanying roommate (e.g. spouse, traveling friend, etc). 

The following list is included as part of each coordinating cruise package:

Additional items included for the Featherweight Quilter or Maintenance Workshop Attendee:

  • Novice Maintenance Workshop Class
  • A Singer Featherweight Tune-Up Kit
  • Featherweight technical support for the duration of the cruise
  • Sewing room access with fellow Featherweight Quilters for sewing time and fellowship
  • Use of maintenance and sewing supplies for workshop & sewing times
  • Special sewing kit for on-board sew along (T.B.D.)
  • Lots of Featherweight sewing goodies, surprises & gifts from the Featherweight Shop

Not Included:

Travel Expenses to and from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Shore Excursions, Spa Treatments, Upgraded Meals, Onboard Gratuities for Stateroom Attendants /  Housekeeping Staff / Dining Services, Extracurricular Activities and Products Sold Onboard the Cruiseship

We do encourage you to not book any non-refundable hotels or plane tickets until we have met our minimum.  You will be contacted when the minimum amount of attendees has been met.  

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to a limited space on the cruise, non-quilters (e.g. accompanying cruise roommates) will not be able to attend the Maintenance Workshop or group sewing times.  When registering far below, please select your traveler type.

Payment Schedule for Quilter / Workshop Attendee - Total of $2795*:

Initial Deposit = $795

Second Payment on July 1st, 2018 = $1,000

Final Payment on November 1st, 2018 = $1,000

 
Cancellation Schedule and Fees:
At time of registration = $250 is non-refundable
July 2nd, 2018 = a total of $795 will be non-refundable
November 2nd, 2018 = a total of $1795 will be non-refundable
January 1st, 2019 = total price of $2795 will be non-refundable

Initial Deposit = $795

Second Payment on July 1st, 2018 = $750

Final Payment on November 1st, 2018 = $750

At time of registration = $250 is non-refundable

Below is a list of the supplies and items that you will need to bring to the maintenance workshop and for sewing the duration of the cruise.

Supplies for Quilter to Bring for Maintenance Workshop & Cruise Sewing:

  1. Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine (in working order)
  2. Small Towel 
    (to set your machine on while servicing at the Maintenance Workshop)
  3. Thread
  4. Bobbins
  5. Fabric or your own prepared project for sewing

*As instructed by the cruise line, DO NOT bring the following items:

  1. Scissors
  2. Rotary Cutters**
  3. Irons
  4. Oil
  5. Kerosene
  6. Motor Lubricant and Grease
  7. Needles
  8. Pins
  9. Screwdrivers

*The nine items in the list directly above will be provided by the Featherweight Shop for use in the classroom.  These items required pre-approval from the TSA and Celebrity Cruise Lines and will be put on the ship prior to your arrival.  Any of these items brought personally will not be allowed through security and will be confiscated by the TSA.  

** The Featherweight Shop will also bring cutting mats for sewing use.
