This original glass oil bottle would make a lovely addition to any Singer collection! The glass bottles were precursors to the metal cans that came with the Singer Featherweights.
This marvelous item is sure to be a conversation piece in any collection! The Ribbonaire fan from Singer is very collectible and hard to find.
Prior to plastic fan blades, the ribbon fan was used as an alternative to a dangerous metal blade fan. It was well built and quite heavy, and it has a Bakelite construction. Ahead of its time, Singer marketed the ribbon as a sort of wick, diffusing an applied essence into an area. Because of the fragility of Bakelite, many of these fans haven't cosmetically survived years of use.
The fan available here is in fabulous cosmetic condition with no cracks or chips to the Bakelite housing. We have serviced and rewired it for safe use today. Plug it in and feel the breeze from either one of the fan's two speed settings. Rest assured; the fan does work flawlessly!
