This White Singer Featherweight 221K is so dainty and pretty! Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - this White Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with its original 110v motor that has been rewound to run at optimum speed and torque. A voltage converter is not needed in the USA or Canada. (Technically and originally named by Singer, the color of this machine is called "Pale Turquoise", however it is more commonly known as the Celery or White colored Featherweight. But, as you can tell from the lighting, the color changes depending upon its surroundings.)
FA2261** indicates an original production commission date during the mid-late 1960s and this machine is given a Grade 8 with a few small signs of light use. Some of the dating for White Featherweights has become obscure due to incomplete records. You can view some of the records here. Be sure to click on any image above to view the machine in closer detail. The machine is in fabulous condition with very minimal wear.
The case seen here is one of the most sought after of the wide variety of cases that originally accompanied the White Featherweights. The vinyl cases have been seen in blue, red, and this turquoise color, and they were only issued with White Featherweights sold in Canada. This is only the second one of these turquoise cases we have had here at the shop, so they are extremely rare.
