Singer Featherweight Maintenance Workshop Tour 2016

After five months of planning, preparing and packing we are finally on the road for the Singer Featherweight Maintenance Workshop Tour.  Bozeman, Montana was our first of seventeen stops along our ten week road trip this summer.

Upon our arrival to the hotel the first night we were greeted with an unexpected warm welcome of flowers and a few vintage-inspired fat quarters.  We felt so special!  I am now toting my little flower pot around with me in the front of the van to enjoy as long as I can.

The class was wonderful!  It was so enjoyable to meet each person and begin to know the actual people behind the names we have come to recognize as our Featherweight friends for quite awhile now.  It was a lovely group of Featherweight service participants and to be a part of the camaraderie that developed made our hearts smile.

Most of our classes are pretty full along the route and the schedule is such that we can’t really add any more stops to accommodate for driving time and family functions we have planned, but there are a few spots left in San Antonio, Texas later this summer if you would like to nab those last few before they’re gone.  Otherwise, feel free to contact us directly and request to be added to the waiting list for the various locations.  We are keeping the list with us and if something should come available we will definitely let you know.

Stay tuned for our next stop.....

  • I just inherited my mother’s featherweight 1947 model. Ordered a kit from you and my husband greased and oiled parts as indicated in the manuel. I cannot get it to sew. Top thread keeps coming out of needle under the plate. Bobbin thread and top thread are not combining. I have been sewing all my life so I am familiar with sewing machines to some degree,.I have been sewing on a Viking for years but learned as a child on a Singer. Cn you offer any advice? Thanks , Donna King, SC

  • I live in WV and I would like to go to the class. My question is are you planning to come anywhere near me. There are a lot of ladies here that have featherweight.

  • Is there a “wish list” for places we’d love you to visit and have a class in the coming years? Southwest Florida (Fort Myers, maybe?) is a wonderful place to visit in the winter.
