What's new in The Featherweight Shop Vintage Collection - May 2025
Here at the Featherweight Shop, we have quite the collection of vintage Singer items. Due to our remote location, very few customers have the opportunity to see the many rare Singer items we have procured in our personal collection.
This series of blog posts brings our collection out for all to see the new items we receive. Some of these items may be famous and recognizable, but there may be other items that very few individuals have ever seen or heard of before. For the month of May 2025, here are some of our recent finds for your viewing pleasure:
This extremely rare Singer tool is designed for lace weaving. It came to us from the original owner in the Netherlands.
What a delightful evening this must have been! A ticket to a Singer sponsored dance reflects the wholesome workplace community that people enjoyed in the 1930s.
With the Jo-Ann Fabrics stores closing down, this Singer collaboration tape measure is a felicitous addition to the collection.
This darling, intricate pin came from the Netherlands. Yellow in a Singer logo is a unique color!
This stunning piece of Singer history, now in our library, has the details, illustrations, and prices of Singer's household machines and accessories for the salesman to reference. The pages are in crisp, unworn condition!

The various intricate artwork depicting historic English and Scottish landmarks on these wooden needle cases is captivating! This case depicts the Turkish baths at Bridge of Allan.

This month's final feature is a gorgeous 1936 Featherweight with its original owner's service coupon booklet. The machine was commissioned November 5th, 1936, and was sold to Mrs. Springborg of Redlands, one year later.
