Featherweight 221K Sewing Machine, EE152*** - 1947

This 1947 Singer Featherweight 221K is absolutely gorgeous, restored in white pearl with two-tone gold/silver decals! Completely restored inside and out - this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew (or display) right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 220-volt motor that has been rewound to work at 110-voltage with optimum speed and torque. A voltage converter is not needed in the USA or Canada. This Featherweight is from the first batch of 221K Featherweights produced; in fact, it was the 387th Featherweight, made in the Kilbowie Factory.  EE152*** indicates an original commission date of August 25th, 1947. 

This machine features the unique gold 'S' Bakelite motor.  These uncommon motors were made in the U.S.A., Canada, and Great Britain with this machine having one of the 220v Great Britain ones.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and an original, yet newly chromed needle plate. The original case includes the tray for holding the foot controller.
