This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque. A converter is not needed in the U.S. or Canada. This machine is given aGrade 7+. These rare motors were made in the U.S.A., Canada, and Great Britain, and they usually coincide with a machine sold in a different location than the country where the machine was produced. Because this is a 221 Featherweight manufactured in the U.S.A. with this Bakelite 110v motor, it is likely that this one was originally sold outside, but in a country like Canada also using 110v power.
