This Singer Featherweight 221K is in great condition, and it was commissioned on December 10th, 1948! Cleaned and serviced inside and out - this 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 220-volt motor that has been rewound to work at 110-volt power with optimum speed and torque. A converter is not needed in the U.S. or Canada. This machine is given a Grade 8-.
Be sure to click on any image above to view the beauty of this Singer Featherweight machine. It is in very good condition with a few small pin scratches and some clearcoat wear near the back, likely from the foot controller being set on the machine for a long time.
The machine features the unique gold 'S' Bakelite motor. These rare motors were made in the U.S.A., Canada, and Great Britain, and the ones made in Great Britain were standard issue on most 221K Featherweights from 1947 to 1948.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the attachments.
