This Rare, Singer Featherweight 221K is in great condition and ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque. A voltage converter is not needed in the USA or Canada. EG0776** indicates an original commission date of October 9th, 1950.
What makes this Featherweight unique?
This Featherweight is distinguished by the 'Manufactured in Great Britain' decal on the back of the machine arm. A similar decal (composed in French) was frequently placed on 221 Featherweights sold in France. It is not clear why Singer added this origin country decal when a machine would be sold in the UK, but they are certainly rare and difficult to come by.
Additionally, this machine has a travel label affixed to the back of its case. The motor was also rewound by Singer to 220v (we have rewound it back to 110). These factors would indicate that this machine was likely well-traveled. Visiting countries with 110v power as well as those with 220v.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the attachments.
