This Singer Featherweight 221K is in great condition, and it was likely commissioned on September 21st, 1948. Cleaned and serviced inside and out - this 221K will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque. This machine is given a Grade 8. Be sure to click on any image above to view this Singer Featherweight machine in close detail. It is in great condition with some light pin scratches.
The EE808*** serial number puts this just outside the 5,000 serial numbers associated with the 9/12/1948 batch, so the machine either had a number misstamped or the chart does not include all serial numbers from that batch. The machine was likely sold in Canada as it has its original 110v Canadian motor and a case, manual and attachments box from the USA.
Included with Machine:
Additional Quilting Attachments can be purchased, and if you need any Fashion Aids for apparel or ornamental sewing (e.g., Buttonholer, Blind Stitcher, etc...), we will prepare samples for those as well should you decide to purchase them separately.
The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later. The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.
The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and the original case includes the top tray for holding the foot controller.
Free Shipping in the USA through UPS Ground is provided. The machine will be thoroughly and carefully packed ~ guaranteed to arrive safe and sound.
