Description

THE CLEARCOAT ON A FULLY RESTORED/REPAINTED MACHINE TAKES A FEW WEEKS TO CURE.  THIS MACHINE WILL SHIP ON 12/21/2021.

This Singer Featherweight 222K is absolutely stunning in Royal Cobalt Blue with gold decals and gold plated parts!  Completely restored inside and out - this Featherweight 222 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.  A voltage converter is not needed in the USA or Canada.  Be sure to click on any image above to view the beauty of this incredible machine and the restoration quality.  EJ618*** indicates an original commission date of March 31st, 1954.

This particular restoration has been dashingly dressed up with several 24K gold plated parts.  Notice the gold faceplate, needle plate, sew/darn indicator, bobbin winder, and stop back motion knob; as well as several other screws.  While gold plated parts are not original to the Singer Featherweight, they are quite stunning and unique extras!

Purchasing a machine from The Featherweight Shop is a rather distinguished experience.  Each one of our restored and repainted Featherweights receives hours of personal care in its disassembly, painting process, reassembly, stitch sampling and overall preparation for each and every customer.  As soon as one of our Featherweights arrives in the mail to the customer, the fastidious packaging care and wrapping adds to the unveiling enjoyment, making a Featherweight Shop machine purchase extra special and something to always remember.

**************************

A free-arm Featherweight 222 has distinguished and extra characteristics compared to the original 221 model.  Click here for a side-by-side comparison of the 221 and 222 model machines.

  • Take note of the Feed Dog Lowering Lever indicated by SEW & DARN.  This enables free-motion embroidery & darning: go from ‘SEW’ing to ‘DARN’ing just by pulling on the lever and lowering it down to the Darn position.  This will lower the feed dogs (teeth-like mechanism) enabling Free-Motion work.

  • The bed removes to reveal the tiniest little free-arm - perfect for tight seams and hard-to-reach places.
